Continental Trailways was a major intercity bus service in the United States, which, along with Greyhound, dominated the market for several decades. In 1987, Greyhound Lines acquired Continental Trailways, effectively ending its operations as an independent brand. After the acquisition, the Trailways name and its routes were absorbed into the Greyhound network.
